Autonomous Systems Global Regulatory Specialist

Intramotev is seeking a Senior Regulatory Strategy Specialist to join the Safety & Regulatory Affairs team.

This position is responsible for playing an active role in ongoing safety and regulatory developments of significance to the company in the autonomous systems space across the globe, in close collaboration with our main business unit and business partners. The role will include a global regulatory scope, with an emphasis on North America.

A successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to operate with velocity and agility, to address the complexity of technical, economic, social-political, and regulatory issues associated with emerging unmanned systems to build and leverage close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborate with the development community.

Position Responsibilities

  • Act as a key resource for understanding autonomous systems safety and regulatory activities across the globe, with special emphasis on North America
  • Represent Intramotev in various safety and regulatory forums in the area of autonomous systems
  • Engage with Global Authorities on Autonomous Systems topics for Rail
  • Work across Intramotev to leverage existing capabilities and to advance the safe integration of autonomous systems into the global rail network

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Law or Business
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop innovative and novel approaches
  • Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment or as an individual contributor while being a champion for regulatory initiatives, objectives and milestones
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English; other languages helpful

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:

  • Global Regulatory Frameworks
  • Unmanned Rail Systems
  • Demonstrated experience working across organizational boundaries.

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
