Business Development Manager - Railroads

Intramotev is seeking an experienced Manager of Business Development, Railroads to join our Business Development team.

A successful candidate will have experience building and maintaining relationships within Class I railroads, short line (Class II and Class III) railroads, and their key customers. Knowledge and relationships within ports, mining, or transloading is a bonus.

This position will play a key role in helping Intramotev grow within the rail industry by facilitating industry adoption of its innovative products.

Position Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with North American Class I, II, and III railroads to facilitate adoption of Intramotev's products
  • Represent Intramotev at conferences, within industry organizations, and at customer events
  • Engage with industry OEM incumbents to explore partnership opportunities
  • Work across Intramotev to communicate customer and industry feedback to Engineering and Design teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to understand and convey technically complex products in simple terms
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Self-starter willing to operate independently with autonomy as well as cross-functionally in small teams.
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English; other languages helpful

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:

  • North American rail industry operations
  • Port, mining, plant, or global railroad operations

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Relocation:

This position is remote, but relocation to the St. Louis, MO area can be discussed if desired.
