Project Engineer - Latin America Rail and Mining

The Project Engineer – Latin America (LATAM) role has a strong engineering background and customer focus with additional technical sales background – the successful candidate will be a member of the business/customer facing team managing projects to implement Intramotev products with customers. Additional duties include consulting on product development as the voice of the customer. This position will be based out of St. Louis, MO with a geographic focus on Latin America.

Position Responsibilities

• Prepare customer-specific case studies derived from routes, volumes, and operational profiles for proposals.
• Develop pre-project approval documents including project charter, project management plan, project kickoff, and milestone schedule creation.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders
• Provide technical customer support and establish customer rapport and acceptance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish - fluent in both written and verbal communications. Portuguese is a plus.
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science
• 1-3+ years of experience in managing engineering projects
• 1-3+ years of experience in technical sales (especially engineering related)
• U.S. Person (immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided)
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally for customer visits and conferences up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:

• Sales engineer in a related transportation, mining technology or robotics company focused on LATAM geography

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
